Silvestermeile 2025

The countdown to 2025 is on — and Munich is gearing up for one of its largest open-air events of the year. The Silvestermeile (New Year’s Eve Mile) will once again transform the city’s majestic Ludwigstraße into a lively festival zone filled with music, lights, and Bavarian street food.

According to organizers, the celebration will stretch from the Siegestor to Von-der-Tann-Straße, starting at 7 p.m. and continuing until 2 a.m.. Visitors can expect an energetic program of live performances and visual art as the Bavarian capital rings in 2025 under the winter night sky.

Four stages, endless beats

The Silvestermeile promises an eclectic mix of pop, party hits, hip-hop, and electronic music, spread across four stages. Local artists and emerging Munich talents will join established acts for a vibrant seven-hour lineup.

The full program will be announced soon on the official website www.silvestermeile.de, but organizers already hint at a blend of club sound, festival energy, and Munich charm.

A feast for every taste

No Munich street party would be complete without good food. Along the entire route, dozens of food trucks and stalls will serve everything from Bavarian classics to international street cuisine. Event organizers emphasize a focus on regional ingredients and local suppliers, giving the event a distinctly Bavarian culinary twist.

Whether it’s hearty Obatzda with pretzels, grilled sausages, or sweet crêpes, visitors will find plenty to keep them warm between concerts and countdowns.

Lights, art, and atmosphere

The festival will not only sound festive — it will shine. A team of light artists from Bavaria and across Germany will illuminate Ludwigstraße with creative installations, projections, and color shows, turning the boulevard into a glowing open-air gallery for one night only.

The city of Munich approved the Silvestermeile concept in late 2024 as a pilot project, aiming to offer a safe, organized alternative to chaotic private fireworks while keeping the city’s center vibrant and family-friendly.

Tickets and prices

  • Ticket sales begin on 16 October.
  • Early-Bird tickets: €33 + fees (limited to 48 hours or until sold out)

A night to remember

With live music, street food, and artistic light displays, Munich’s Silvestermeile 2025 is shaping up to be a highlight for locals and visitors alike. Whether dancing beneath the Siegestor or toasting with Glühwein at midnight, the city’s grand New Year’s Mile promises to start 2025 in true Munich style — joyful, colorful, and unmistakably Bavarian.
