A disturbing discovery in southern Munich has prompted an urgent appeal from local authorities. A passer-by walking through the Forstenrieder Park on Thursday came across the body of a woman lying near a forest track known as “Buchendorfer Geräumt.” The Munich police confirmed that the woman has not yet been identified, and specialist investigators have taken over the case.
Homicide unit takes charge as circumstances remain unclear
While the exact cause of death is still being examined, police have not ruled out the possibility of a violent crime. Given the early stage of the investigation, the homicide division of Munich’s criminal police is now leading the inquiry to establish how the woman died and whether external involvement played a role.

According to the police, the woman is believed to have been between 25 and 40 years old, with a height of approximately 1.74 metres and a weight of around 69 kilograms. Her hair was described as reddish-blonde, dyed, lightly wavy and about 40 centimetres in length. She had a typically European appearance and no visible tattoos.
